How this workbook is designed
Source relationship: the broad topic coverage is informed by John E. Freund’s Introduction to Probability, but the teaching structure, wording, examples, diagrams, interactive laboratories and question bank in this workbook are newly written. It is not a digitised copy of the book.
Marking rules
Answers are checked immediately. A wrong answer produces only “Incorrect — keep trying.” The correct answer is not shown. Use Hint when you need a nudge. The full model answer appears only when you explicitly choose I give up. This same rule applies in module tests and the final exam.
On touch devices, answer fields use the workbook’s own context-sensitive keypad so the native Android keyboard does not need to appear. You can also zoom the workbook with the +/− controls or a two-finger pinch gesture.
